My friend Sean Altman, the former frontman of Rockapella (those guys on Carmen Sandiego, remember?) has released his second solo album, alt.mania. It's not a cappella; quite the contrary -- it's wry, Beatlesque power-pop in full instrumental glory.

Saw the trailer for Men In Black II this week. One scene features Will Smith making contact with an alien (disguised as a postal worker) in his native language -- beatboxing! The alien is played by none other than Biz Markie.
