BACK FROM THE WOODS

June 29, 2003

I'm back from Jazz Camp West. Words cannot describe how blissed out, tuned in, and wide open I feel right now.

My students were so eager to learn and explore, and they taught me so much. I got to perform and jam with so many amazing musicians. I met so many truly beautiful people. I got to pick the brains of some unique individuals who are walking the kinds of Transcendent Renaissance-Human paths I want to be walking. The place was just crackling with energy and music and love.

The other 51 weeks just don't compare.

INTO THE WOODS ONCE AGAIN

June 20, 2003

I'm going into the woods for a week, starting this Saturday. I'm on the faculty at Jazz Camp West down in La Honda, where I'll be leading three vocal workshops per day for the week.

This year's faculty includes Madeline Eastman, Rhiannon, the Bobs' Richard Greene, Keith Terry, Peter Apfelbaum, Josh Jones, and many more.

I'll be pretty much off the grid for the week, so I'll talk to you in July!

THEY EVEN SPELLED MY NAME RIGHT

June 18, 2003

Tim Barsky's Over Nine Waves, which I'll be opening for on the 19th and the 28th at the Exit Theatre, made the Weekly Picks of both the Bay Guardian and the SF Weekly this week. SF Weekly mentioned me, and they even spelled my name right.
