LoveFest is a benefit concert I'm producing to raise money for 1-by-1, a nonprofit that helps get housing for homeless single mothers and their children, providing the financial, logistical, and moral support needed to get them on their feet.
If we can fill the Noe Valley Ministry, we can help house a homeless family for a year. Filling the hall means 200 people, on a Sunday night, the day after Valentine's Day. Not a simple task. I need your support on this one. Save the date.

My birthday was a torrid affair, full of surprises, stillness and revelry. On Birthday Eve (Dec 6), I was part of a benefit concert for the ACLU and Earthjustice, at the New College Theatre, where I got to perform in front of a wonderfully supportive and soulful crowd.
Then I ambled over to Bruno's, where I got kidnapped by 8 drunken Santas in a stretch Hummer limousine and taken to the Marina, where I shared Mojitos with my fellow hostages.
Then up early for 9am birthday yoga with my wonderful friend Andrea Ferretti; brunch with long-lost friends Rob Penn and Greg Williamson; then over to John Cornwell's for the birthday chillout, ending up with a small group of people lying on the floor petting each other while listening to Brian Eno and watching footage of the Apollo missions on John's projection screen. Feels like 34 is going to be a good year.
